1928 Fiat Rampa poster. This is one of the masterpieces
of Art Deco poster art in Italy, and one of the great automotive posters
of all time. Riccobaldi's design shows the spiral ramp leading to the
test track atop Fiat's huge Turin factory. The daring design of this
poster dazzled the Italian public, much as the Lingotto factory caught
its imagination when it was built. As Italy's leading manufacturer, Fiat
hired the greatest names in Italian poster art to bring excitement to
its automobiles. Riccobaldi, who began his career as a stage designer,
caused a sensation with this clean, almost sculptural helical poster
design. The Fiat Rampa poster showing below is extremely rare and highly
sought after. It is one of three masterpieces Riccobaldi executed for
Fiat, . This poster is in very good condition, and large, measuring 52.5
x 75.9" (133 x 193 cm). It has been professionally linen mounted.
