1894 Le Petit Journal newspaper. An illustrated 8 page supplement to the famous French newspaper showing the very first documented road race. Measures 12x17.75" and in B+ condition with yellowing and some staining, but in overall great shape considering it's age. The main illustration by J.Bexon shows the very first 'horseless carriages'. Dated Aug.6, 1984 and titled 'Concours du 'Petit Journal' - Les Voitures Sans Chevaux'. This is considered to be the very first published image of racing cars. 1901 Le Petit Journal newspaper. An illustrated 8 page supplement to the famous French newspaper showing the one of the very first road races - Paris to Berlin (which occurred June 27-9 and was subsequently named VI Grand Prix de l'A.C.F.) Measures 12x17.75" and in B+ condition with yellowing and some staining, but in overall great shape considering it's age. The main illustration by Yrondy shows the winning #4 Mors car of Henry Fournier who outlasted the Panhard, Renault, de Dion & Mercedes. Dated July.14, 1901 and titled 'La Course Paris-Berlin'. 1904 Le Petit Journal newspaper. An illustrated 8 page supplement to the famous French newspaper showing the one of the very first road races - the Gordon Bennett Cup. This race took place in the Taunus mountains in Germany and was one of three events sponsored by James Gordon Bennett, Jr., millionaire owner of the New York Herald. Measures 12x17.75" and in B+ condition with yellowing and some staining, but in overall great shape considering it's age. The main illustration shows the Emperor Guillaume congratulating the race winner, Léon Théry of France who drove his #5 Richard-Brasier car and outran the Fiats, Panhard, Mercedes & De Dion cars. Dated July.3, 1904 and titled 'Victoire Francaise - S.M. l'Empereur Guillame felicite Thery, le vainqueur de la Coupe Gordon-Benett'. 1905 Settimana Automobilistica di Brescia - Coppa Vincenzo Florio postcard. This rare postcard is from the race that preceded the Targa Florio. It is postmarked and inscribed 'saluti Vico' (which may be Vincenzo?) and shows the awesome trophy awarded to the winner. The back is also postmarked and filled out to a recipient. Measures 4x5.5". It was won by Giovanni Battista Raggio in the Itala 110hp on Sept. 4, 1905. $695.00

1906 Le Mans program. This is a real piece of racing history, the very first program printed for Le Mans, in 1906. The 1906 French Grand Prix de l'A.C.F. was the first Grand Prix motor race and took place at Le Mans on June 26 & 27, 1906. Renault won the event followed by Fiat & Clement-Bayard. This program is in good original condition and measures 24x14cm. It is complete, but with some foxing on the cover due to age. It is 72 pages long and has an extra map of the circuit measuring 63x40cm. It includes photos of all the running teams as well as lovely period ads for Fiat, Renault, Peugeot, Itala, Mercedes, Darracq, Rapier, and more. This incredibly rare program is the first we have ever seen, a real museum find.

1906-1913 Rapiditas Volumes 1, 2 & 3. The official yearbook of the Targa Florio written by Vincenzo Florio. These super rare books include collected reports, results, classifications and images of the Targa Florio from 1906- 1930. We have the first 3 of the 9 published volumes available. The first volume was published as a multi-lingual edition in Italian, French, English & German in June, 1906. The second edition was published in 1907 in Italian only. The third edition was also published in Italian only, on Dec.20, 1913. 1907 Circuito di Brescia - Coppa Florio program. This is a three page program on newsprint with a complete listing of cars & contestants in the middle which folds out - Darracq, Isotta-Fraschini, Itala, Benz, etc. Measures 7x10" closed. The race was won by Ferdinando Minoia in a Isotta-Fraschini 1st Sept, 1907. This race program from the early Targa Florio is over 100 years old....try and find another! SOLD

1909 Record del Miglio Modena postcard. This was the first race Enzo Ferrari ever attended as a young boy. In many books (Piloti Che Gente, Le mie gioie terribili, Le corse ruggente & La Ferrari e Modena), Enzo Ferrari himself talks about 2 races which he saw as a young boy that defined his future life, the Circuito di Bologna and the Record del Miglio in Modena in 1909 (and it's that last one that really convinced him to do something with cars). 1923 "Lo Sport Illustrato" vintage newspaper. Dated 22 April 1923, with one page showing a celebratory advertisement for Ugo Sivocci's victory at the the 1923 Targa Florio in an Alfa Romeo RL 6 cyl.on Pirelli tires. 2nd place was Antonio Ascari and 4th was Count Giulio Masetti. The 8x12" page has been removed and mounted on board for display, but the original 22 page magazine is also included.

1924 "La Gazzetta dello Sport" vintage newspaper. Dated 27 May 1924, with the last page showing a celebratory advertisement for Enzo Ferrari's very first victory at the Circuito del Savio in an Alfa Romeo RL 6 cyl. The newspaper is 8 pages and complete, measuring 23x16.5" unfolded. The ad itself measures 11.5x16" and can be framed as an early momento of Scuderia Ferrari history. This rare item is filled with daily reports on racing, cycling, soccer and other sports, and also contains many lovely ads for early car companies like Amilcar, Ariel motos, etc. SOLD

1927 Bugatti T43 original chassis blueprint. It has been matted, framed and glazed. There are some small fold lines with very slight paper loss along them that indicate that they are originals. Some are dated on the front (we haven't seen the backside); and all of them have the design number and scale (1/10). Dimensions are approx. 690mm x 475mm. The actual print is much 'bluer' than the image showing.
