The 16M is one of the rarest seats we have ever offered. This is a black Tech Fabric seat with contrast red stitching with a radical shape and design. Although it looks strange to have the cut out area around your kidneys and the opening between your knees, this ergonomic change from Ferrari has proven to be one of their most comfortable seats yet! The entire rear shell and side trim is clear coated carbon fiber (not a "carbon print"). The headrest has an embroidered prancing horse logo on it in red thread and just below it an opening for shoulder racing belts. The material is a "3D" synthetic material that is designed to keep the driver cool in a hot cockpit by allowing air to flow easily between your body and the seat. This means in an office environment, you're going to be sitting cool and comfy all day long! This is the standard material that is delivered on the 16M vehicles.

This is an authentic and original seat removed from a very rare and special edition new F430 Scuderia 16M at dealer delivery. This was the first US car delivered and Ferrari built the seat wrong; the seatbelt strap is supposed to snap at the bottom and this was installed with the snap at the top, causing the snap to rub the back of the trim. The seats were immediately removed by the dealer and replaced with a modified model. They only built 499 of these cars worldwide, truly a conversation and a collectors piece!

The seat base is an average width with a deep and comfortable back, this sculpted design fits any modern office. The seat back tilt can be adjusted with a few turns of the carbon fiber knob on the side of the seat. Your order also includes a custom base color of your choice and integrated arm rests as you see in the last sample picture. Shown here for example is the seat on a solid Rosso Corsa frame. Due to the rariety of this seat, we suggest a more custom design with a black or dark silver metallic flake and contrasting red wheels. We can also do an authentic Scuderia factory paint option or an Italian theme.

Each chair we build is unique, the metal base and frame are actually painted separately for each order with a professional automotive quality paint job in a deep, high gloss metallic paint. Your price includes a custom color of your choice. Match it to your existing car's paint, a trim color in your office or anything else you desire. We only need a paint sample or paint code to get finish you chair. We always have a few metallic silver and metallic black bases in stock for rush orders, for the custom paint it is a 3 week processing time.

The mechanics of the bases are a Synchro knee-tilter from Global's Ride collection. They are a full metal base and frame with sculpted sport wheels. The smooth synchronous tilting action maintains constant contact and support for your body in all postures. There are sculpted shift levers at the side of the seat to control the synchro tilt mechanism and seat height. The rotating pivot arms are height adjustable.

Racechairs come from actual exotic sports cars and racecars. We find late model race conversions and parts cars and acquire the seats from around the world. Once we receive a new seat, it is disassembled, the leather is cleaned and conditioned, the unnecessary hardware is removed and a custom bracket is created to place the seat in the optimal position.
